Jane Ge

Founding Manager

Jane started Vectors Angel in 2019 to enable collaboration between like-minded impact-focused companies and investors. She is an investment manager with Goldwind Innovation Capital, cleantech researcher/entrepreneurship program manager at UC Berkeley, and President of the Energy Innovation Network. She holds an M.S. from Cornell University on Sustainable Design Studies and a BAS.c on Energy System Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Sachiye Koide

Program Manager

Sachi was a member of the first cohort of Vectors Angel Fellows. She graduated from Cornell University magna cum laude with a BS in Biological Engineering and now focuses on biotechnology, sustainable materials, and health in sourcing companies. She led the deals for Tinctorium Bio and Hue.Ai. Sachi cares deeply about the environment, conservation, and systemic change.  She is also an avid rock climber and mountaineer and volunteers at the Wildlife Center of San Jose.

Marketing Manager

Pin Pin is completing a Ph.D. in electrical engineering at Stanford University with her research focusing on computational psychology. She joined Vectors Angel as a Fellow in the first cohort to pursue her passion in deep tech commercialization and impact investing. Pin Pin believes in the power of people collaboration in making the world a better place.

CRISTINA PAULSEN

Cristina is an MBA from UC Berkeley, Haas. She is very passionate about impact investing and sustainable finance. She joined Vectors Angel to deepen her experiences in early stage investing and sustainability. She is looking forward to apply her financial and business expertise to support entrepreneurs looking for sustainable and innovative solutions to environmental challenges.

NANCY TANGUAY

Nancy has joined Vectors Angel to learn how to support the startups providing solutions to our global social and environmental challenges and supplement her experience with responsible investing.  Recently earning a Master’s degree in Sustainability, Nancy is building Future Island Impact, a company with intentions to transition the full force of the retail investment market to impact investments by providing solutions to financial advisors.

NAVIYA KOTHARI

Naviya recently graduated from Cornell with a BS in Operations Research and Engineering. Her passion lies at the intersection of tech, impact, and entrepreneurship. Through Vectors Angel, she is keen to understand the fundamentals of impact investing and help other innovatively helping others. Naviya's most interested in solutions that can serve people – specifically, those empowering women, democratizing personalized education, and tackling inequality.

ROXY RONG

Roxy is a derivative trader and currently manages a quant strategy research group. She is also the co-founder of Build312, a non-profit organization that serves the entrepreneurial community in the Chicago area. She is passionate about helping startups address social and environmental challenges through impact investing.

TIASHA AYUMI SHAFIQ

Tiasha is a PhD Candidate in Biological and Biomedical Sciences at Harvard University, where she leads projects on investigating epigenetic inheritance. She is passionate about utilizing her scientific expertise in the development of life sciences ventures to create sustainable social change. She joined Vectors Angel to explore and contribute to the advancement of impact investing.

Valentina is a rising junior at Cornell University majoring in Hotel Administration and minoring in Real Estate and International Relations. She has helped a Syrian refugee start a restaurant and been a speaker at the TEDx conference. She is passionate about global social impact through entrepreneurship and activism. She joined Vectors Angel to explore impact investing and to apply the knowledge to help social entrepreneurs one day. She enjoys traveling to developing countries and art museums.

KRISHNASWAMY

Shreyas is an electrical engineering and computer science undergraduate from UC Berkley. He enjoys working with Vectors Angel to support tech companies in the sustainability sector. He loves to see how emerging tech like VR/AR, robotics, and more can be used to solve some of our most pressing issues like climate change and healthcare.

JESSICA KARR

Jessica consults in food tech and biotech on product strategy, worked in R&D at Impossible Foods for 6 years, has an MS in Biochemistry from UCSD and an MBA in Sustainable Management. She is the Head of Product & Research at UMANA, advises 2 plant-based start-ups, and is an active mentor at IndieBio and Plug and Play Food. Jessica joined Vectors Angel to apply her technical and product knowledge towards angel investing with a mission-aligned angel community.

Derek is a system engineer engineer at an energy storage startup. He joined Vectors Angel hoping to learn more about the fundraising process and insight in the early stage startup world. He is passionate about the energy industry and the ongoing industry-wide electrification revolution.

With solid training and work-experience in data-intensive software development, Arpan is currently working on a career pivot to venture capital. During the fellowship, he focused on Food and Health sectors. His favorite parts were conducting due diligence on startups, and putting up a VC panel discussion event on 'Investments in Sustainable Food Technologies'.

More about us and Community Advisers 

Our team and community advisers includes: an MIT, Stanford, and two Cornell alumni, a Berkeley PhD, President of the Energy Innovation Network, Goldwind Corporate Venture Strategy Investment Manager, SK hynix Senior Manager of Venture Investment, and an MIT Entrepreneurship Mentor/Coach. Additionally, our Fellowship program recruits top scientists, MBAs, entrepreneurs, and more that aid in the due diligence process. We also work closely with top tier impact focused VCs in Silicon Valley which provide supports and advisory to our startup companies. We started this group a year ago and do all the work on a volunteer basis.
