The Role
Vectors Capital is seeking Investors at the Analyst, Associate, or Principal level to join our team.
This role offers exposure to the full venture investment lifecycle, including sourcing opportunities, evaluating companies, executing investments, supporting portfolio companies, and helping build the firm’s global ecosystem.
Because we operate as a lean and entrepreneurial team, investors gain hands-on experience across venture investing, accelerator programs, corporate partnerships, and global venture ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities

Deal Sourcing
-
Identify and build relationships with founders developing breakthrough climate technologies
-
Conduct market research and develop investment theses in emerging sectors
-
Build networks across startups, research labs, corporates, and venture investors
Investment Analysis & Deal Execution
-
Conduct diligence including market research, technology evaluation, and financial analysis
-
Prepare investment memos and present opportunities to the investment team
-
Support investment structuring and negotiations
Senior investors may also:
-
Lead investments from sourcing through closing
-
Negotiate and execute term sheets end-to-end
-
Coordinate diligence, syndication, and legal processes
-
Represent the firm as board observer or board member for portfolio companies
Portfolio Support
-
Work with founders on strategic initiatives and partnerships
-
Introduce portfolio companies to corporate partners, customers, and co-investors
-
Support follow-on financing and investor communications
Accelerator & Venture Programs
Vectors operates venture programs designed to identify early-stage technologies and support founders.
Responsibilities may include:

sourcing and evaluating startups for accelerator cohorts
-
working with founders on fundraising and commercialization strategies
-
facilitating introductions to corporate partners
-
supporting demo days and investor showcases
Corporate & Ecosystem Partnerships

Support collaboration between startups and strategic corporate partners

Participate in venture events, industry conferences, and ecosystem initiatives
-
Help strengthen Vectors’ global innovation network
Qualifications
Core Qualifications

Extremely execution oriented - speed and results
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, economics, business, or related field
-
Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, or technical graduate degree) preferred
-
Strong analytical and research skills
-
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
-
Intellectual curiosity about emerging technologies and entrepreneurship
-
Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment
Preferred Background
Candidates may come from backgrounds such as:

venture capital

investment banking or private equity
-
consulting
-
startup founding or operations
-
engineering or technical research
Experience or strong interest in climate technology, energy systems, industrial innovation, or deep tech is strongly preferred.

Principal-Level Candidates
Principal candidates should demonstrate:

experience sourcing and leading venture investments

ability to independently evaluate companies and markets
-
experience negotiating investment terms and leading deal execution
-
experience working with founders and supporting portfolio companies

Ability to take board room responsibilities
Prior board observer or board participation experience is a strong plus.

Compensation
Compensation is based on experience and includes salary, bonus, and carry participation.
Analyst / Associate
-
Base: $50K – $100K
-
Carry: 0 – 0.5%
Principal
-
Base: $100K – $180K
-
Carry: 1 – 4%
Carry participation may increase over time based on investment contributions and tenure.
Team members who grow into Investment Partner roles may participate more significantly in the fund’s carry pool in the future, typically accompanied by a personal LP commitment to the fund.
